  • My daughter has been suffering from migraines since she was 7 months old, she was diagnosed at 2 years of age. She was misdiagnosed as having reflux as a baby but once she was verbal and described what was occurring, she was diagnosed with migraines. She has them every 8-9 weeks, clockwork, has tried medication Epilim whcih did not work. She will take 3-5 days off school as she becomes light sensitive, nauseous, vomits, headache! It’s heartbreaking as she misses out on a lot of school activities, family functions, birthdays etc which is so sad. Hoping we can find something that can prolong her migraines.

  • Please help us who suffer from chronic migraines have a normal and healthy life.

  • I hope others can have a better life and not have migraine impact and change the way you would have lived had they not been a factor.

  • I have suffered from migraines for 10years. I had never had one before and then all of a sudden my whole life changed, I was and still am experiencing almost daily chronic migraines, which comes with pain, nausea and dizziness. I can’t go to the grocery store, cinemas, shopping centres, airports or even drive at night time due to the other cars headlights triggering an attack. So many places have fluorescent lighting which I had never noticed before and it never bothered me in the past. I struggle to leave the house a lot and I loose vision in one eye a lot of the time. As a single mum who works full time I had to leave my job of 15years as they couldn’t accommodate my chronic illness by working in a darkened office. Thankfully, I was able to gain employment within the government who have been very supportive and allow me to work remote 50% of the time, the rest of the time I am able to dim the lights in my area of the office. Not everyone has this luxury though and without it I would not be able to work full time to provide for my children. Even though I do have a great job affording the multiple medications is very hard and although I am on a few I do not go pain free for a whole day. It’s debilitating, exhausting and really hard to get through each day. On top of all of that Migraines are invisible! There is very little awareness around them from not only the public but also health professionals. I would love to see more support around migraine sufferers and the awareness spread

  • I have been a migraine sufferer for 20 years and would love to see our government give us some support and recognition.

  • I have severe chronic migraine. This means that I don't respond to treatment and medications are not effective for me. I am forced to try and work part time despite the immense pain I'm in because of a lack of government support and recognition for my condition. Enough is enough. Migraine is more than headache. Migraine is a disability. It's time our government stood up and recognised us.

  • I've been a headache sufferer since I was 4 years old, I've been a full on migraine sufferer since 2015, I take the wonder drug Emgality which has been a life saver for me. My Mother was a migraine sufferer for years until her death from a brain tumor at the age of 55. We need support for this debilitating illness.
